Sarah joins us as the second CEO of the MCHA. Previous to her role with the MCHA, Sarah worked for the Indiana University Foundation for approximately 5 years in various roles in marketing and development. Before moving to Bloomington, she attended Columbia College in Chicago, but originally hails from suburban Detroit.
Sarah is a long time animal advocate believing that how we treat those without the ability to speak for themselves is truly a measure of our society. She feels very fortunate to be working in a community that has a strong base of individuals who truly care about the welfare of animals helping Bloomington and Monroe County become an example of a humane community.
Sarah is a member of the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators, member of the Monroe County Animal Management Commission, Board Member of the National Federation of Humane Societies and President of the Indiana Alliance of Animal Control and Welfare Organizations. Sarah has also been a featured speaker for PetSmart Charities and the Humane Strategies Rescue Waggin Conference for the East Coast, Great Plains and Midwest regions.
